Laser Velocimeter
General Description
Laser velocimeter is a system that use a laser having monochromatic wave and coherence by focusing the laser beam on a moving object. According to the Doppler Effect, the change in the wavelength of the reflected light is a function of the object's relative velocity.

As the velocimeter is being widely used in both steelmaking and non-ferrous industry, a variety of industry need non-contact velocimeter not affecting product quality and protecting itself from wear.

Palmatech has developed the first laser doppler velocimeter in Korea through combination of technology of laser application, signal processing and DSP technology accumulated for 10 years, which comprises sensor head with optical parts, signal processor for frequency analysis of scattering light and optic fiber connecting the former two.
