What¡¯s New at Williamson


I am pleased to report that as we close out the third quarter for 2005, Williamson is well on its way to a second straight year of plus 25% growth. Some of the key factors to this impressive performance are:

- A great team effort by our regional managers and reps to focus on our target markets of Aluminum, Steel, and Industrial Heating
- The world class features of the PRO Series product line that offers many unique advantages over the competition.
- A problem solving and service orientation by our sales team that enables us to build relationships with customers that result in multi unit orders and repeat business.

As we look ahead to next year, we are forecasting a third straight year of plus 25% growth. The reason for this optimism is that we continue to see strength in our current markets, and we are strengthening our marketing efforts and product offerings for the more general purpose applications. While Williamson is a market leader with many of the more challenging applications, we only have a small share of the largest market of general purpose applications. These applications tend to be single-wavelength applications in markets like paper, glass, plastics, food, textiles and electronics. There are also a large number of these single-wavelength applications in our current target markets of steel and industrial heating. Consequently, we believe that there is great potential for Williamson to grow sales by expanding its efforts into these markets.

Some highlights of programs that we will be rolling out in the coming months are as follows:

- NEW WILLIAMSON WEB SITE - A completely re-designed web site that offers extensive product and application content that can strengthen our inquiries via the web and be used as a valuable sales tool by our reps and customers. This new web site was released last week and has already demonstrated the benefit of improving our positioning with the search engines. We are also working out the details to become part of the Global Spec web site that is a great search engine for the engineering community that will help build awareness and generate more inquiries. Lastly, this web site was designed so that we can easily add new product and application content as it becomes available. - NEW ON-LINE & PORTABLE SENSORS - Williamson has established agreements that enable us to sell new low end single wavelength sensors and portables. We expect to have the documentation available by the beginning of November. For a preview, check out the TransTemp models 200, 300, and 400 on the web site. If you feel you have an opportunity for these sensors contact us and we will put together the information that you need.

- NEW PROVIEW SOFTWARE PROGRAM - Also by the beginning of November we will be releasing our new PC data logging software called ProView. Some of you have been exposed to beta copies of this program, but we are near completion of the details for the final release that will include advanced data logging capabilities as well as PC based control of all the PRO Series menu functions.

In summary, we are very excited about our future and believe that there is still tremendous potential to grow from the foundation that has been establish.
